It is a good book In a crux this book can be read if you are really curious about Raja Raja and the golden age of Cholas. Though it was tiring to read, once I finished I kind of missed the 10th century. His lucid but powerful expressions of man-woman relationship and human-God union is a tribute to mankind. So most of the characters that we would encounter were those who did live years ago in our very own Tanjore and was part of this great work. I feel Part 2 was much better than Part 1.
From this book only i came to know the method of construction of Big temple. உடையார், #2 Īs the balakjmaran works started, the second part talks mainly about the hindrances faced.
